"Midnight cowboy" is from 1969 and "Waves within" is from "Caravanserai" 1972. Up until 1971 - and the split of the original Santana Band - Santana recorded almost entirely latin rock music. After the split in ´71 he started doing very different music, songs like "Waves within".
