Hi Eddy,
Are you familiar with the work of Norwegian guitarist Terje Rypdal? He's done a wide variety of stuff on the ECM label over the years from free jazz to classical projects. He has a very haunting often beautiful sound, sometimes very itense. Just a suggestion, might be worth a look if you don't already know his stuff.
