Hey bro/sis lol. hey...you.

I completely understand where you are coming from. The ties that bind us are sometimes too deep to break overnight, yeah? Perhaps in your case they never will be. I guess that's the whole point in believing.

I used to be a believer, but obviously no longer am. You would think that I was an atheist, but I'm not. I claim ignorance probably more than you do. Watch...

I am no more able to converse with God than an ant conversing with me. I am not saying that I am God in that last sentence. It's only an analogy to describe how ignorant I am of a supreme being and what it has in mind for me. You see? How can people assume that they have a relationship with a being that isn't even like them at all? We are flesh, and God is invisible. Not only is It invisible, but it doesn't even converse in an audible, visual way that we humans can easily understand. Instead, we look at whatever good happens to us and say that was because of God. I'm repeating myself here because I've stated this before, but it's true.

Why can't people just accept the fact that we have one life to live and be at peace? Why do people want more in the next life? Infact, why do people want to live forever? It's just a fantasy, dude. If you were to think about it deeply, you would see where I'm coming from when I say that everlasting life is the epitome of greed.

Think about that for a second. Human beings, like many other living things on earth, are consumers. Infact, humans are a different breed of consumers. We consume all that we can possibly consume, and then want to consume more. You like how I said consume twenty times just now? lol. But seriously, it is truth. We are so bent on consuming that we don't even let it end at death. No. We got a whole new everlasting life to consume spiritual stuff with when we exit this world. Infact, the Christian faith knows how much we as humans like to consume. That's why it states that we will no longer thirst or hunger because we'll be living in some transformed spiritual body that never has to want ever again. See? All religions teach something along the lines of everlasting life. But it is not actually what God said. Man said that. It's really, all about mans deep desire to get more in life. Greed.

Like I said before. Let God speak on It's own behalf. Let it speak in a way that the deaf can hear, the lame can understand, and that all people of all languages can understand.

God, of all beings, would not have so many people twisting up It's word(s) in the way that man has. Come on man, you gotta feel what I'm saying here.

I'm looked at as arrogant because I use my brain to think about these things. They think that I think I know it all. But I say no. I want to know more, therefor I inquire. But when it comes to the matters of faith, I'm not supposed to question. I'm supposed to just go with the flow and ride the feel good train all the way to heaven with all the other nice folks that don't like to question God.

But why should I do that? I'm not a sheep that would follow some other sheep that were jumping off a cliff. I'm the sheep that would look at what those other sheep did and say, WTF? O_0 Those were some crazy azz sheep. Then I would go eat some grass and go about my business.

Anyways, to answer your questions...

Baptism is B.S. You can't dunk somebody in water and expect for them to be "born again". It's all in the mind of the person. That person who got dunked can easily revert back to what he/she was like before they thought they were "born again". But the thing about accepting JC as your lord and savior is that now people have a get out of jail for free card in their head. So, whatever messed up things they do in life, they can easily push the forgive button and live with whatever evil they commited for the rest of their lives. It's just a way for people to dodge the guilt they feel for all the crap they do to themselves and to others.

As for the babies...

It's easy. According to my uncle, when a baby dies, it's going straight to heaven. How nice is that? Here we are having to live through all this confusion as to what to believe in, and these little rascals are totally pardoned of all the decisions. They must have been the ones that were "pre destined" to go to heaven.

Let me ask you something. Do you believe that babies that die got to heaven? If you believe yes, then what about all those potential babies that get wasted everyday through male ejaculation? I mean, out of all those sessions, I'm sure that if they were aimed at a woman, the chance of a baby coming from it are highly probable. Now, would you consider all that wasted sperm a form of genocide? I mean that is alot of potential life being wasted before it even had the chance to live as a human being. Or, is it technically not a human because they are just sperm and have not had the the chance to meet an egg and evolve from into a human?

You see? the questions can go on an on. And trust me, if you were to speak to me in person, I would go on and on about these issues. I mean, I never stop thinking about things like this.

People hear the good news and put their hopes behind it and that makes them feel good. I never stop asking questions and continue to search for answers. If my quest for the truth eventually leads me back to faith, so be it. But at this point in life, I seriously doubt it. I've been there before and in hindsight, I hated it.

I hated the artificial barrier that religion places in front of people. Oh what? you're a mormon? oh, I can't talk to you because I'm a catholic. WHAT?!?! That person could have been your best friend, and you missed on that relationship because of a stupid belief.

It's deep, man. People don't like to think too much about their faith because those uncomfortable questions always come up when you combine logic and fairytales. I'm sorry for calling your beliefs fairytales, but to me, they are no different than the story of jack and the beanstalk.

Hey dude, I gotta go to work so I'll continue later. Besides, I gotta go and tell mr Faith Warrior something before I'm out.

Peace.
