True, but only among gentiles and the apostles but when the elders and Pharisee who were teachers and high priest of the law of works given to moses. Well, you know that thing they call "peer pressure", well Peter and James lacked much faith and confidence when they were around the elders and pharisees.

Peter and James lacked much faith and didn't have the confidence as
Paul the apostle, who preached the gospel of Christ in the churches of
the high priest and pharisees and for that they tried to stone and kill
Paul for it.

Peter and James were elected to preach the Gospel to the Jews (law
keeper of the old covenant), see what a great job Peter and James did?

Paul the apostle was chosen to preach and teach the gospel to the
Gentiles, anyone not a Jew. See what a great job Paul did? But, some
still have you to believe you have to keep the law of works to be
justified before God! NOT

Faith and Faith alone in the blood, works and faith of Christ is man
make whole by the grace of God, a free gift to man for man's faith
(trust)!
