In Reply to: Your analogy does not fit! Jesus Christ paid for my SINS not my Mother. The cross represents Gods Grace in that HE LAID down his LIFE to give us ETERNAL LIFE. May the Lord richly bless you.nt posted by 13 tribes on October 10, 2005 at 17:25:23:

His death we remember everytime we partake of the Sacrament. That is every Sunday. We remember Him while alive and feeding our spirits. The cross reminds us of his brutal death. Why do we need the cross to remind us of his death? Why remember his death at all. We know through his death we are able to have eternal life by having our sins forgiven. We do not have to parade his crucifixion around our necks. It only tells the mind of the bad in the world then, today and always. We can remember the Lord by living as he did...you know live a Christ-like life. We should not remember only the bad that happened to Jesus. Remember, if it weren't for the atonement, we would not be resurrected. All thanks and praises to Him who died for us. Let's remember his death by living righteously.
