I guess it all goes back to the LDS doctrine that there are 3 distinct God. I can't seem to get an understanding of it when there are several passages in the old testament that contradict it.

"Before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me. I, even I, am the Lord (Jehovah), and beside me there is no Savior" (Isaiah 43:10, 11).
