It was raised but it was also DENIED by the judge! Wasn't it?

If you are going to tell it tell RIGHT! The ruling itself OVERULED that senseless and meaningless point that was raised because Malietoa Talavou and Malietoa Natuitasina are RIGHTFUL heirs to the title as much as the Malietoa Moli.

Whoever said that the Malietoa title belongs only to the Tanumafili (RIP) family? This is not Tonga the title does NOT pass automatically from father to son. The Malietoa Moli reign is over. Your contribution will not be forgotten. As long as the Moli clan had it, how can we forget?

It is time to pass the title on to the other clans. The ruling in 1939 was fair and so here it is again in 2008 that ALL rightful heirs have the right to select who the next Malietoa title holder will be.

Plus it goes to show that those who support the saofai, opposed the ruling and who did file an appeal are anything but

1. HUMBLE and/or have any respect for the other heirs. If you lose, lose with diginity especially when you know you are in the wrong and are defeated.
2. Title mongerers to whom they feel they are the only ones entitled to it

Such actions prove it: Firstly, the unlawful saofai took place last year without regard to the proper faasamoa protocol in the bestowment title (Tanumafili II RIP was still warm in his grave for heavens sake!). IF the selection process would have been done correctly it surely would not have had a successor overnight. There are so many associated families to consider. Secondly, the other branches of the family were not notified and/or consulted with properly. Thirdly, 9 appeals have already been filed. This goes to show that they want to overturn 2 COURT RULINGS and validate the bogus Malietoa saofa'i. Another important fact is that not all of the Malietoa Moli family members agreed with the saofai. i.e. Papalii Malietau, Papalii Faamausili Moli's nephew, his brother the late Laupepa's son, the late and Honorable Tanumafili II's grandson filed a petition against his own uncle. This is because Papalii Malietau was also considered a contender for the title but by having the saofai it was plain to see that his candidacy was overlooked on purpose.

Even after all of this it is very crystal clear that these are nothing but DESPERATE ATTEMPTS to keep the Malietoa title within the Tanumafili II's family. Because truth be said by their actions they are only proving one thing to us all that they are a bunch of pompous and arrogant NOBODYS without it that is why they will fight this tooth and nail frivolously.

FACE YOUR DEFEAT WITH DIGNITY!

God bless the entire Sa Malietoa aiga! Be colletively strong and UNIFIED! We the Samoan people want the very best for our country and we entrust in ALL the rightful heirs to bring forth their very best and worthy successor to lead our people and all of Samoa! May God guide this entire selection process from its beginning to the very end.

Manuia!
