I remember at Marist High School when I was just a Freshman and Max was a Senior.
Max was talking to his friends. The topic of this discussion was basically what they were going to do with their futures. And, at Marist being around the crowd Max hung around with was an array of topics towards great futures. The one thing I remember Max talking about was how proud he was of being a Marist Crusader. I then tried my best to form, fashion and fit some of my best writing material in regards to what Max had exemplified as what Marist meant to him. I then entered my essay based on a lot of what Max had to say, but in my own words and my essay got published in the newspaper as a first place essay. I was not going to enter the essay contest but due to his inspiring words of what it meant to be a Crusader, I thought I had a chance because I was inspired by the ONE AND ONLY (present day)LATE GREAT “LT.COL MAX GALEA’I”! He was not only a Marines Marine! He was a Crusaders TRUE CRU, CRU-SADER! Max inspired our whole freshmen class to do well in their studies and seek for themselves their own personal glory from what they can take from it. I see that his life was lived nothing short of how he influenced others how to basically live theirs.
